Before founding Knepper & Clark, Matt was a litigator at an AmLaw 100 firm where he primarily defended Fortune 500 financial institutions in actions brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and for violations of the discharge injunction under the Bankruptcy Code. Matt also was a judicial law clerk to United States District Judges Andrew P. Gordon and Jennifer A. Dorsey, and United States Bankruptcy Judges Mike K. Nakagawa and Bruce A. Markell (Ret.) Matt earned his juris doctorate at the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Before co-founding Knepper & Clark, Miles worked at a preeminent Las Vegas litigation firm, where he focused his practice on complex, high-stakes commercial litigation matters. He also managed a litigation portfolio worth approximately $20 million for the Las Vegas branch of a national law firm. After law school Miles clerked in Vermont state court, then in New Orleans for United States Magistrate Judge Karen Wells Roby, and finally moved to Las Vegas to clerk for United States District Judge Jennifer A. Dorsey. Miles is a graduate of Cornell Law School, and is actively licensed to practice in Nevada and New York.
Shaina clerked for United States District Court Chief Judge Gloria M. Navarro prior to joining Knepper & Clark. She graduated magna cum laude from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Upon graduation, she was awarded the William S. Boyd Outstanding Graduate Award, along with Pro Bono High Honors. During law school, Shaina was a Public Interest Fellow and an Articles Editor of the Nevada Law Journal.
Lucille is a litigation paralegal who assists in all phases of litigation, from inception through discovery and trial. She assists with document examination and management, drafting of pleadings, fact development, deposition preparation and trial preparation. Her main focus at the firm has been consumer law litigation. Lucille wears many different hats at Knepper & Clark, also working as our office administrator, all in an effort to keep the firm moving forward in a cost-efficient, productive and professional manner. In addition to the firm's human resource functions, she also handles billing, payroll and accounting. Lucille received her bachelor’s degree in political science from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to joining Knepper & Clark, in 2017, Lucille has worked in the legal field for sixteen years working on family law, consumer finance services law and civil litigation matters.
